Overview

Spears butterfly valves are designed for industrial & chemical applications. Ideally suited to flow control or throttling applications, this patented design eliminates the seat creep & reduce operating torque compared to traditional liner type designs. A wide variety of options & configurations ensure the ideal valve for every application.

Lifts quickly from seal face to reduce wear & operating torque
Patented limited contact seat design with initial parallel travel eliminates seat creep, extrusion & wear
Self cleaning action to flush solids from seal faces
Field replaceable seal without full valve disassembly
Interlocking body & seat prevents wash out & blow out
Buna-N, EPDM or FKM (Viton) seals
Solid 316L stainless steel shaft
Fully isolated from the process fluid for additional corrosion resistance
Reversible lever handle
High impact polypropylene, standard on 1.1/2" - 8" valves
Reversible 180 0 for convenient operation on either side of the valve
Built in lockout provision for authorised use only
Positive lock stops for end of travel & 5 intermediate positions. Non slip positioning for repeatable flow control
High efficiency gear operator for 10" & larger valves
